So why did I choose Greens First over say “Deeper Greens” from Ortho-Molecular Labs, or Garden of Life’s “Super Green Formula” or any number of companies who make excellent Greens products? Plainly stated, it has to do with taste. The truth is that the absolute best “Greens” products on the market taste more like pond scum than anything else. You won’t like them, and your kids definitely won’t like them. And if nobody in the family likes the stuff, odds are that nobody’s going to eat it without a squabble! Thus, a waste of time, energy, and money to fight a losing battle.
Although there is a great deal of contradictory information that comes out of the nutritional field, the one thing that everyone can agree on is that we need to eat more fresh or frozen fruits and vegetables. How do you plan on getting your USDA-recommended 10 daily servings of fruits and vegetables if you do not supplement? Oh, it can be done — if you live in Florida or California. Or spend four or five hours a day gardening, canning, and freezing produce. My suggestion is that if you have an AUTOIMMUNE DISEASE, FIBROMYALGIA, THYROID ISSUE, BLOOD SUGAR REGULATION PROBLEM, WEIGHT PROBLEM, or any number of Chronic Conditions, you should use the mint instead of the berry. This is simply because you want a product that is as low on the Glycemic Index as is humanly possible.
