Like you, I’m concerned about where my tax dollars are spent.
I would also like to think that wherever you are politically, we could agree that censorship is evil. The Founding Fathers certainly believed so; strongly enough that the First Amendment to our Constitution’s Bill of Rights contains the provision for Freedom of Speech.
By characterizing speech they disagreed with as ‘misinformation,’ ‘disinformation,’ or ‘malinformation,’ a horde of tax-funded entities, both inside and outside of the United States government, tried to take away our First Amendment rights (plural) during COVID. How deep did this web of censorship and propaganda go as far as the average person is concerned?
To find out, I messaged a friend of mine the following question….

Probably around 5 times. I would be banned 3 to 5 days, and finally they said [shut the hell up Bobbie or we will start] 30 to 60 day bans, to a permanent ban.
I don’t really care whether you like Bobbie or not (I happen to love the guy – as long as he’s not wearing his UT paraphernalia!), or whether you agree with Bobbie or not (we might not agree on everything but we both understand that the 2nd protects the 1st). This is America, and we don’t censor / cancel people didn’t used to censor / cancel people because of what they believe or say.
Being curious, I decided to ask some questions of the “Big Three” A.I.’s (Gemini, ChatGPT, and Grok)…
Mine was one of the myriad of natural health websites swept up in the government censorship programs of five years ago. I want to know how much tax money was spent, who did it, and the specifics of how it was accomplished. And I want to know your sources (specifically government sources). BTW, I am asking this same question of all the major AI’s so don’t BS me!
Despite varying answers and differing levels of BS, they all agreed on two points…
First, the government’s censorship programs were real, and second (I’m paraphrasing), they all said “it’s extremely difficult to find accurate financial figures because much of that information is itself buried“. You’ll see just how buried momentarily.
Because I had written a few articles on COVID (the first on New Years Day, 2022, explaining why repeated vaccinations everyone was being warned to get were a disaster-in-waiting), I asked the same AI’s another intimately related question….
A QUICK SIDE NOTE: My second of three articles on COVID was titled Is There Graphene in the Covid Vaccine? That article concerns Graphene-based “Quantum Dots”. How much money was spent by NGO’s to help the United States government censor natural healthcare websites as well as anything that was counter-narrative concerning either COVID or the COVID vaccine? Of those dollars, how much of that was from tax-payer sources? How many NGO’s are we talking about here – I want totals, including everything that fell under USAID? I am particularly interested in evidence from Congressional Hearings as well as anything from the world’s foremost expert on the subject, Mike Benz.
Their collective answers provided the true OMG moment as far as NGO’s are concerned (NGO’s are ‘non-governmental organizations’ – organizations funded by government agencies with your tax dollars – but run privately). In homage to President Eisenhower’s famous ‘Military Industrial Complex‘ speech, two the the three AI’s referred to this monster as the United States Government’s Censorship Industrial Complex.

The tiniest taste of what this looks like in the real world can be found in this disgusting 90-second video called “Dangerous to Our Democracy“. As you watch, realize that almost nothing you saw or heard during COVID was ‘organic’ news. It was Stasi-style government-funded propaganda and censorship that you paid for out of your own pocket. Your tax dollars at work…
ChatGPT went on to say that there were actually 4,578 of these “outlets” and 287 NGO’s, all but eight of which were associated with USAID (United States Agency for International Development – an entity created and funded by the CIA specifically for controlling foreign countries). And this didn’t touch on 2025’s “Global Slush Fund” Congressional Hearings which revealed USAID funds roughly 160 “independent media” projects outside the US, which coordinate with U.S. embassies to suppress information that contradicts official US-government COVID policy.
Another disgusting way our government censored us is by so-called “Academic Grants”.
The National Science Foundation (NSF) funded 42 different universities across 64 specific grants totaling over $40 million dollars. Each of these “Disinformation Labs” (their word, not mine) functioned continues to function (many have not stopped) as NGO-style ‘research’ hubs. And while Stanford was is still the undisputed worst offender, right up next to them was (give me a good ole ‘burnt orange‘ drumroll you-know-who)…. The University of Texas.
There’s yet another way our government has censored us that you’ve likely not heard of – using other nation’s governments do to us what is illegal supposed to be illegal for our own government to do to us. In other words, the United States has been using your tax dollars to pay other countries to do their dirty work for them.
We now know that other nations have been doing our government’s dirty work as far as censoring natural healthcare websites is concerned; and funding it with tax dollars provided to these nations under the auspices of varying forms of “Foreign Aid”. A recent example can be found in Sayer Ji’s article from just two weeks ago, Now It’s on the Record: The U.S. State Department Confirms the Transnational Censorship Regime. Please provide total US tax dollars spent on such activities – activities which can only be characterized as the money laundering of American tax-payer dollars.
22 U.S.-funded organizations were directly identified in Congressional Hearings as driving the European Union’s war on speech (aka the Digital Services Act). The CTIL (Cyber Threat Intelligence League), an “all-volunteer” group that worked with CISA (the United State’s Cyber & Infrastructure Security Agency), grew to 1,400 members across 76 countries within one month, including hundreds employed by (paid by American tax dollars thru NGO’s) as “trusted flaggers”.
In all honesty, the information I dredged up while going down this particular rabbit hole was overwhelming – far too massive to create a single post that anyone would take the time to read.
Suffice it to say, however, that our government used billions of our tax dollars to censor and propagandize us in hundreds thousands of different ways. In my case (you can read about it here), they simply shadow-banned me on FB and all but totally removed my website and blog (nearly 2,000 completely free articles on every health-related topic you can imagine) from search algorithms.
