This post may have better been called, “OLD INJURIES: HOW LONG IS TOO LONG?“.  This is because the issue is not only one of age, but how long a person has been dealing with said problem.

If you are over the age of 30 / 35, and deal with any sort of CHRONIC PAIN SYNDROME, how many times have you heard this sort of statement when visiting the doctor?  “After all Mrs. Smith; you just aren’t as young as you used to be“. This is one of those statements, which, while completely true, does not provide any meaningful information or benefit as far as helping you with your pain.  In other words, when you hear a statement like this, expect the status quo (pain meds, muscle relaxers, anti-inflammatory medications, corticosteroid injections, and recommendations for more surgery — HERE).  And expect it all to be blamed on DJD (Degenerative Joint Disease).  It’s how things are done in America —- especially when insurance dollars are at stake.  Today, the practice of medicine would best be described as “Corporate” (around here the docs all work for either Cox or Mercy).

In my mind, real healthcare should be about dealing with underlying health issues — the problems that are actually causing your symptoms.  Let’s pick one —– DIABETES.  Nearly a third of the over-65 population has Diabetes, and a significantly greater number than that have pre-diabetes otherwise known as CARDIOMETABOLIC SYNDROME.  Although these folks invariably end up on all sorts of medications, I find that there is rarely any sort of emphasis on diet (HERE).  Why do I mention any of this?  Simply because if people do not understand how important it is to actually CONTROL THEIR BLOOD SUGAR (not merely take insulin or medication),  they will pay a steep price in diminished healing capacity.

As far as helping the geriatric population with pain goes, I have been doing this for the better part of a quarter century.  If you take the time to watch any of the videos on my YOUTUBE CHANEL, you’ll notice rather quickly that some of these folks would fit into that over-65 category.   My unique form of TISSUE REMODELING can be performed on people regardless of age (I have treated children as young as 3 as well as people in their 80’s and 90’s).  And as far as CHIROPRACTIC ADJUSTMENTS go, there are all sorts of methods that can be used on even the most OSTEOPOROTIC women (Neuromechanical’s “Impulse Instrument” or Thompson Drops are two such examples).  And don’t forget COLD LASER THERAPY

Maybe you are one of those people who has been given up on —- given no hope to get better.  If you are from out of the area, simply fill out the online form on our CONTACT PAGEIf you are local, make an appointment for a complimentary consultation.  A big part of my God-given mission in life is to help people who are dealing with things like CHRONIC NECK OR BACK PAIN, PIRIFORMIS SYNDROME, or SHOULDER PROBLEMS.  If I think I can help you, I will tell you that.  IF NOT, I will tell you that also.
