DRENAMIN
(Adrenal Gland Support)
Why does every single patient need to support their adrenal glands? In one word…. Stress! We live in a pedal to the metal society that constantly squeezes us for everything we’re worth! To better understand stress and its relationship to CHRONIC PAIN, WEIGHT GAIN, THYROID PROBLEMS, HORMONAL PROBLEMS, SUGAR CRAVINGS, as well as the mother of most adrenal problems —- FIBROMYALGIA / CHRONIC FATIGUE SYNDROME, just start clicking links.
Speaking of FIBROMYALGIA, the past decade has seen Fibromyalgia absolutely explode onto the scene in epidemic proportions. In fasct, I am starting to see high school girls that have been diagnosed with Fibromyalgia. Sufferers of Fibromyalgia know all too well how debilitating this condition can be. So what does the medical community have to say about it? Surprisingly enough, very little. The average doctor has almost no idea what Fibromyalgia really is, how one gets it, or better yet, how to effectively address it. And after trying to treat Fibromyalgia using the same old methods they use for everything else, it’s time to wake up to the fact that simply throwing drugs at this problem is not the answer. People who are not willing to step outside of the medical “box” are very unlikely to get any sort of lasting help for their problem.
However, virtually all alternative health practitioners in their various fields of expertise have been saying essentially the same thing for decades. Fibromyalgia is a state of adrenal exhaustion or adrenal fatigue brought on chiefly by stress and poor diet. In fact, prior to the late 1970’s, Fibromyalgia was actually called ADRENAL FATIGUE. Think about this though. It is far easier for the medical community to sell people prescriptions that are based on their symptoms: knotted (fibro) muscles (myo) pain (algia), than it is to actually address a patient’s burned out adrenal glands! I would assume that 9 out of 10 M.D.’s would look at you like you were from Neptune if you asked them about the relationship between Fibromyalgia and the adrenal glands! And if you are an MD, is there anything you want less than a patient to ask those pesky questions like, “Gee Doc, if my adrenal glands are fatigued, how did they get that way and what can we do to unfatigue them?“
The bottom line is that Americans are maximally stressed. Like I said earlier, we put the pedal to the metal and never let up. Adding to this, the Standard American Diet (SAD) is beyond poor. The average person is living on nutritionally depleted, chemically laden, lacking in fiber and water, sugar loaded food, (if you can call it food) that is so ridiculously unhealthy that I am actually starting to see teenagers with Fibromyalgia symptoms. The brutal combination of constant stress and a poor diet, burn out the adrenal glands. The pancreas, thyroid, and other glands often follow (or sometimes lead the way), setting off an avalanche of health problems. This typically leaves people with a host of miserable (and sometimes seemingly unrelated) symptoms. A brief list includes:
- Chronic pain, stiffness and soreness for no well defined reason
- Chronic fatigue/an inability to rest well
- Food addictions (typically sugar and/or junk food. As amazing as it sounds, people are often addicted to the very foods they are sensitive to because these foods give them a burst of adrenaline —– a sort of food “high”.)
- Chronic bowel problems/gas/bloating
- Immune System issues/Allergies & hypersensitivity
- Skin problems
- Depression
- Inability to control weight (Obesity)
- Systemic Candida/Yeast infections
- Female problems of all kinds
With this amazing array of symptoms that affects multiple body systems, what can be done to deal with Fibromyalgia? You have two distinct choices…. You can follow the medical experts and live on a steady diet of pain killers, muscle-relaxers, anti-inflammatories, cortico-steroids, anti-depressants & other “psych” drugs, and simply resign yourself to fate. Or you can take the bull by the horns and become proactive. If you truly want to understand what the heck is going on with your adrenal glands, you need to read a $10 paperback about about your thyroid (THYROID BOOK). Yes, I realize that I am telling you to read a book about thyroid in order to understand your adrenal glands and their relationship to Fibromyalgia. Read the book!
